Ubisoft headquarters hostage report turned out to be false

Ubisoft Montréal
On Friday it became known that the employees of the Canadian office of Ubisoft were being held hostage. The police say that the source of the message was a phone call from an unknown person.

It looks like the terrorist threat situation at the Ubisoft office was a lie. The Montreal police were called after it was reported that company employees were being held hostage in the office. According to a report posted on the police website, the building was ultimately reported to be false.

Recall that on Friday afternoon there was a message that Ubisoft employees were being held hostage - local channels broadcast how people were hiding from the threat on the roof of the building. The information appeared after an unknown person made a phone call to the police. At the same time, the police advised residents of the city to stay away from the area. Later it became known that no danger was found and people were peacefully evacuated from the office. Apparently, the hostage-taking report was false.
