This War of Mine
The Prime Minister of Poland decided to include a video game in the list of recommended programs for study - thus, Poland will become the first country in which a computer game will be included in the canon of school subjects.

"We think about young people using games to represent different situations, not just books," said Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. The game This War of Mine (2014) was chosen as a recommendation for Polish schoolchildren.

The game will be placed in a recommended study program starting this year for secondary school students. This War of Mine will be recommended for those studying history, culture, sociology, philosophy and ethics. Students will also be given free access to the game.

Recall that This War of Mine was released in 2014 by Polish developers 11 Bit Studios. The game tells about survival during a fictional war: players have to play as residents who are at the epicenter of events and are trying to survive in their own city, collecting resources for survival.
