The up-and-coming game Gotham Knights will not be released until 2022, according to Warner Bros. on its official page. Recall that the game was supposed to be released in the winter of 2021. The reason for the postponement was called "the need for additional development time", and not the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the same with other high-profile transfers, like Harry Potter: The Open World Hogwarts Legacy from the same developers.
"We are taking more time to give players a better product," the developers said in a statement. In addition, they indicated that "they will show more games in the coming months."
It is known that in Gotham Knights you will have to play for the "younger" generation of Batman, including Batgirl and Nightwing, while Bruce Wayne himself is presumed dead. New heroes must take on his role and save the city from a new threat. As a reminder, this is not the only DC game from Warner Bros. - Suicide Squad adventure game is also due out next year.
