Players reporting PS5 issues during the rest mode

PlayStation 5
Those who have already played the brand new PS5 argue that the rest mode has many problems - from completely shutting down the console to erasing the save.

Initially, the PS5 rest mode was intended to help players pick up where they left off, as it did on the PS4. Unfortunately, several players who have already tried out the new console reported that the mode works intermittently - sometimes it even goes as far as completely removing saves.

Most of the users who faced similar problems were forced to rebuild their game to prevent unexpected crashes, but this will not solve the problem with deleting saves. Some players have even stated that mode could block your PS5, but it's not clear yet if this is true. Interestingly, most of the complaints are directed at the new Spider-Man: Miles Morales - and it is not yet clear what the reason for the "crashes" of the game.

One gamer on Twitter complained that hibernation while playing Spider-Man "crashes the entire system," triggering the backup process. Some users advise not to use this mode at all until the problem is resolved. One of the developers responded to user complaints, stating that "they are solving this problem," but Sony has not yet received an official comment.
