Final Fantasy XVI will skip game presentations in the near future

Final Fantasy XVI
The developers won't show Final Fantasy XVI until they've finished most of the work.

Final Fantasy XVI co-creator Naoki Yoshida has confirmed that the game will not appear at Tokyo Game Show 2021 . Interestingly, Final Fantasy XVI was also not shown at E3 - apparently, the developers prefer to concentrate on work.

Yoshida took part in a livestream for fans, where he spoke more about the progress of work on Final Fantasy XVI. According to him, the team has almost finished developing the script and is now working on the voice acting for the game. Unfortunately, Yoshida did not explain exactly why Final Fantasy XVI will not appear show, but fans decided that this will happen when the developers have something to show.

As a reminder, Tokyo Game Show 2021 will be on September. It is not yet known in what format it will be. As for Final Fantasy XVI, the game was announced last year as part of a special PlayStation event. In the center of the plot will be Clive Rosfield - a knight who will have to fight a powerful force inside his younger brother. Square Enix has launched the official video game website, where it told more about the universe and its characters.
